Jayne Warne is president of Matrix New World Engineering, a leading full-service engineering and environmental services firm. Having received her engineering degree from Rutgers University, she co-founded Matrix in 1990 with Dennis Petrocelli, C.P.G. An advocate for finding ways to keep more women in the technical engineering industry, Jayne gives back to her industry. Active in a variety of professional organizations, including National Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Women Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners and Women for Affirmative Action, Jayne is a champion of young women learning about the engineering industry.
Ms. Warne is an ecologist and humanitarian, and under her guidance Matrix gives back to its communities, supporting the YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Arizona Department of Water Resources. A role model and advocate for attracting and retaining women into the engineering and environmental sciences, Jayne, a mother of three, supports a work-life balance, continuing to bring women into an industry typically associated with men.
A born leader, Ms. Warne has been honored with awards such as: the CIANJ Enterprising Women Award (2022), First-Ever Salute to Women In Construction award by NJ Alliance For Action (2021), received international recognition when she won SILVER Female Entrepreneur of the Year, STEVIE Awards (2018), was named one of the Best 50 Women in Business NJBIZ (2011), Finalist, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year (2011), and Small Business Person of the Year (2002).
Her successes have not gone unnoticed. In 2021, Jayne was spotlighted in NJBIZ in a lead article, Capacity Limits, in 2018, Jayne was featured in a lead article by ROI-NJ, a top business newspaper in New Jersey, and quoted in the 2018 Engineering Roundtable by Commerce magazine, the flagship publication of the Commerce & Industry Association of New Jersey.

Dennis Petrocelli is Co-Founder of Matrix New World Engineering, a world-class engineering firm providing environmental, geotechnical, civil engineering and consulting, and oil spill response services nationwide. He graduated from Rutgers University in 1982 with a double degree in Economics and Geology and co-founded Matrix in 1990 with Jayne Warne, PE.
Mr. Petrocelli has more than 37 years of experience planning, directing and executing numerous geotechnical engineering and geology studies, site feasibility studies, geophysical surveys, preliminary assessments, underground storage tank (UST) investigations, and remedial investigation/feasibility studies for private and public sector clients. Mr. Petrocelli’s experience includes managing and directing multidisciplinary teams in evaluating complex issues associated with site development and site investigations.
Dennis has successfully managed large and complex environmental and engineering programs which have required detailed scientific analysis, cost-control programs and multi-disciplinary staffing and crews for on-call and indefinite delivery contracts. Under Mr. Petrocelli’s leadership, the firm has diversified its services from a solely public sector provider to a multi-faceted firm which includes equal amounts of public and private clients.
Matrix has participated in major transportation and infrastructure projects including the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, 2nd Avenue Subway Programs, Grand Central Terminal Rehabilitation, East Side Access, Permanent PATH WTC Design and Reconstruction, and Monitoring at Ground Zero and Lower Manhattan after September 11.
The firm has provided expert engineering consulting services to the US Army Corps of Engineers, USEPA National Office of Enforcement, and the US Navy. Matrix has also worked with major corporations such as Exxon, British Petroleum, Amerada Hess, Georgia Pacific, Crane Company, Trammel Crow and Occidental Chemical Corporation.
Paul Calabrese is a civil engineer with more than 20 years of infrastructure, capital improvements, and marine engineering experience. Focusing on project management for special large-scale projects, Mr. Calabrese manages projects throughout the U.S., U.S. territories, and the Caribbean. His comprehensive expertise includes site design/calculations, preparation of plans/specifications, project funding applications, construction supervision, and inspection for a wide array of capital projects.
Experienced with federal, state and county guidelines and processes, Paul’s breadth of work highlights his proficiency and expertise in both civil and marine engineering with projects that include post-Hurricane port restoration in Puerto Rico, investigation and design of the Crowninshield and Cressy Pier Reconstruction in Kings Point, NY with the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and management of the planning and design of a new state-of-the-art public works complex in Lakewood, N.J.
Mr. Calabrese specializes in site development and design for waterfront facilities and structures, including marinas, shoreline stabilization and ship berths. He expertly fulfills a wide array of engineering responsibilities for water, sewer, roads, drainage, athletic and recreational complexes, shoreline stabilization, dredging, planning/site studies, site improvement projects, permitting compliance, and design/construction management projects.
In addition, Mr. Calabrese applies his extensive construction and estimating experience to the coordination and supervision of projects for both private and public organizations. A Professional Engineer, NJ Professional Planner, NJ Certified Municipal Engineer, and NJ Certified Public Works Manager with Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), Mr. Calabrese is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Andy Raichle is a civil and marine engineer with nearly 30 years of experience in waterfront development and maritime projects, delivering projects within and adjacent to the waterfront, including ports, warehousing, parks, shore protection and urban redevelopment projects. Skilled in the planning and design of coastal and port structures, sub-aqueous utilities, navigational dredging, and shore protection projects, Mr. Raichle is well-versed in the technical, political, and regulatory specialties unique to the process of waterfront development/redevelopment.
Managing projects throughout the U.S., U.S. territories, and the Caribbean, Andy’s breadth of work highlights his proficiency and expertise in both civil and marine engineering, with projects that include post-Hurricane port restoration in Puerto Rico, redevelopment of NY Harbor’s urban waterfront, and resort projects throughout the Caribbean. Mr. Raichle fills the roles of Engineer of Record; Consulting Environmental, Marine and Coastal Engineer; Permitting Agent, and more, handling all aspects of design, permitting, and construction administration for public and private clients.
Experienced with federal, state and county guidelines and processes, Mr. Raichle comfortably interfaces with regulatory agencies. A Professional Engineer with Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Operations, and Health and Safety Certification, Raichle is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), NJ Marine Trades Association, and National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP).
