Beattie McNeal & Gray Adams Published in NJBIZ

Florham Park, NJ — C. Beattie McNeal, MPH, CIH, Director of Digital Solutions and Gray W. Adams, P.G., Senior Program Manager, co-wrote an article that was recently published in NJBIZ’s Engineering Spotlight.

The article, ‘EHSS Digital Transformation Can Benefit Organizations of Any Size,’ discussed the increased integration of digital transformation in the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) sector and the increased value creation for organizations. Both authors outlined the benefits of digital integration in EHSS operations including minimized human error, data-driven decision making, and improved operational performance.

As technology and the regulatory environment continues to evolve, digital transformation has become a necessity for EHSS operations in companies of all sizes.  Per the authors, “Digital transformation has moved beyond being a buzzword and small and mid-market companies should consider integrating technology into their business processes to improve their EHSS performance, avoid costly fines, and become a more environmentally friendly and sustainable organization.”

The authors concurred that the rise of digital transformation in EHSS sectors cannot be successful without employee buy-in. “According to Forbes, over 70% of digital transformation efforts fail, generally due to resistance from employees. Digital transformation cannot succeed without buy-in from leadership, process owners and internal stakeholders.” Employees must feel involved with digital transformation to truly be a success at any given company. Without employee involvement, digital transformation will be ineffective for EHSS operations.”

According to Jayne Warne, PE, President, “Digital Transformation is quickly becoming critical to the success of organizations of any size or industry.  This article wonderfully outlines the process and value proposition to companies of all sizes.”
