Mitigating a Compromised Environmental Site
Matrix provided remediation and LSRP consulting services for a Confidential Utility Client for a dielectric fluid discharge that occurred from a high voltage electric circuit located within an easement of the Newport Marina on the Hudson River. Matrix was retained as the LSRP for the case to investigate and remediate residual oil and sheen related to the dielectric fluid release.
Specific services provided included the preparation of a Health and Safety Plan for anticipated field work, collection of oil samples from the surface of the Marina for fingerprinting analysis, review of field observation logs provided by the Client. Matrix’s responsibilities also included project management meetings, site visits, technical discussions, and preparation and filing of LSRP forms, notifications, and certifications. In addition, Matrix managed submittals and due dates to ensure that the project remains in compliance.
