Rob Fiorile Participated in the NJ Wind Institute Workforce Summit

June 2023

Eatontown, NJ — Matrix recently attended the NJ Wind Institute Workforce Summit held at The Westin Mount Laurel.

The NJ Wind Institute Workforce Summit works to provide an overview of Wind Institute and offshore wind workforce programming, demystify the forthcoming offshore wind jobs, timing, and skills needed, connect workforce development professionals to offshore wind industry employers and resources, and promote collaboration to address challenges and opportunities in offshore wind workforce development. Matrix discussed concepts relating to their work regarding planning, development, and construction careers.

According to Fiorile, “The summit was an excellent opportunity to engage with a very wide range of parties representing the existing and future offshore wind workforce.  From planning and design, manufacturing and supply chain to operations and maintenance all were there!”

The panel covered company roles in the offshore wind supply/value chains; types of roles and skills needed, how workforce development practitioners can support the pipeline, and any other lessons learned from working in the offshore wind industry.

According to Jayne Warne, President, “Matrix is fully invested in the offshore wind arena. Rob Fiorile is an expert in the industry and understands the variety of skill sets that will be required moving forward.”
