Rob Gascoyne passed away on April 28th.

Florham Park, NJ — Robert J. Gascoyne, PG, LSRP, Vice President of Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix), passed away unexpectedly on April 28th. Jayne Warne, President, stated, "We will all miss him immensely. Matrix was fortunate to have Rob join our team in December 2014, and his impact was felt immediately. Like many people, I developed a genuine friendship with Rob and his quick wit and sense of humor were irresistible. For those of you that were lucky enough to have him as a mentor, you can take comfort in knowing that you are part of his legacy. Our prayers and thoughts are with Rob’s entire family including his wife Wendy, his daughter Ella and his sons, Colson and Leland."

"Rob helped lead and grow the environmental program within the company," added Senior Vice President Dennis Petrocelli. "He was brilliant technically and a wonderful mentor to numerous younger staff who worked under him."

A Man of Kindness & Generosity
Rob can best be remembered for his kindness and generosity to others. He literally would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He had wicked smarts, a contagious smile and an unmatched sense of humor.

Born on June 27, 1969 in Orange, NJ to Mary Overly and the late Richard Gascoyne, he grew up in Maplewood before moving to Raritan and eventually, Clinton, NJ. Rob graduated Seton Hall Prep High School class of 1987, earning a degree in Geology from Lehigh University. He loved his family first, second, and third, and then soccer and golf as his next in line. A member and coach of many local leagues including Pittstown FC "The Herd," he also coached his children's soccer and baseball teams as part of Clinton Township youth sports teams. Rob invested in local businesses, including the Sunken Silo, and appreciated developing businesses that would help communities.
