Matrix New World Engineering Expands Breadth and National Reach
Matrix adds Federal Programs to its roster.

Florham Park, NJ — Matrix New World Engineering (Matrix) has broadened their national  offerings with the addition of Federal Programs. Headed by Matthew A. Ludwig, P.E.; Director of Federal Services and Karen Ashton, P.E.; Federal Services Program Manager, the firm will continue to grow its services by maintaining their diverse work environment while increasing their capability of handling multiple different projects. 

Matrix provides engineering and scientific ingenuity on some of the largest and most crucial projects across the United States. From working on Military Installations to Civil Works projects, our engineers and scientists are involved from project inception, providing preliminary environmental and hazardous materials studies, Federal, state, and local environmental compliance analyses and documentation, and regulatory permitting beginning with the initial planning stages for feasibility studies, through conceptual design, final design and construction, with our engineers providing multi-disciplinary design services and field oversight.”

Karen Ashton, P.E. states, “Our diverse abilities enable our involvement in projects of all complexities and sizes, including resiliency improvements, ADA compliance, capacity and infrastructure improvements, modernization, and design of new facilities.”

About Matthew A. Ludwig, P.E.; Director of Federal Services
Matthew Ludwig is a highly experienced construction program manager and Professional Engineer with more than 23 years of experience. Mr. Ludwig is a proven leader, having risen through the ranks of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New York District, ultimately attaining the rank Supervisory Chief of the Construction Division.

He has held leaderships positions within USACE both domestically and abroad and is adept at managing and overseeing complex projects and programs. Under his guidance, USACE construction programs have placed hundreds of millions of dollars into the construction and engineering industrites. Mr. Ludwig specializes in programs related to geotechnical, and remediation projects, and vertical construction but is highly adaptable and capable of leading teams across a variety of disciplines.
